Digital and mercury barometers to measure the air pressure

Barograph Metal Housing

TF5012

Barographs series 5012 are equipped with aged aneroid capsules as measuring element. They are temperature compensated for -30...+40 °C. Their clockwork can be set to daily or weekly rotation. Also available with oil damping for naval applications. Further available: quartz drive, for operating temperatures down to –35 °C.

Aneroid barographs are used for registration of the atmospheric pressure. The measuring element in our barographs is a set of 7 aneroid capsules with a diameter of 62 mm. This set is manufactured of a copper beryllium alloy. The parts of the movement are manufactured of dull chromatised brass. All the axles of the instrument are supported in jewels. Because of it the instrument has only got a minimum of idle friction. All parts of the movement are inside of the housing and therefore protected against mechanical damage.

We deliver the instruments in transport protected condition, i.e. with arrested and relived mechanism. After removing the packaging and opening the instrument by pushing the lever to the left and open up the case to the right and left side on all our instruments you will find a special clamp on the switch lever which fixes the writing arm and thereby protects it during transport. Our goods always leave the factory with this clamp applied. We suggest that if you have to transport the instrument after receiving it you also take this precaution. Lift the writing lever out of the transport protection on the switch lever.

In the case of the barograph the mechanism is interrupted in two places and before you start using the instrument the bands with the hole have to be attached to the appropriate pegs.
